I
paint in both watercolours and oil paints. My subjects include landscapes
of the Isle of Wight (Newport, Arreton, Bembridge, Brading, Cowes,
Shalfleet, Ventnor, Whippingham, Yarmouth) and coastal scenes. There
are many great English gardens and a number of these have inspired
me to paint them including: Christopher Lloyd's Great Dixter; Vita
Sackville-West's Sissinghurst; Derek Jarman's garden at Dungeness
and the topiary of Leven's Hall in Cumbria.
Paintings are represented in a number of private collections in
the UK and in Australia, Canada and France. A number of watercolours
can be found in the Isle of Wight Council Coastal Visitors Centre,
Ventnor. Paintings are also held in The Alchemist Gallery, Yarmouth,
IW and in The Bluestone Gallery, Devizes, Wiltshire. This site includes
representative works, some already sold.
