Although
I have always been interested in artistic and craft pursuits, my
career veered to the sciences. After a period of working as an industrial
chemist and a spell in academic research at Nottingham and Cambridge
Universities, I eventually found my way into secondary science teaching.
During my scientific career I have always painted, and now that
I am retired I am able to spend time developing my creative work,
painting in watercolours, acrylics and oils, collage and lettering.
The style of my painting is continually changing as can be seen
in the galleries.
I am a member of QuayCrafts, a group of professional Island craft
people. This has been a forum for the continuing development and
exhibition of my lettering.
I have lived in Brading on the Isle of Wight for the past 30 years.
